I’ve always believed the Evans Notch area is one of the hidden gems of the White Mountains. Maintaining the trails so that others can experience the beauty of the area is our passion.

I have spent so much time on the trails enjoying the beauty of the outdoors, seeking solace, or simply working through life. I’ve shared the trails with family and friends and strangers who have become friends. The trails have given me so much that I find I must give back to them in return so others can share the same magic.

I volunteer with CTA to help keep the trails I love in the best condition they can be for all who hike on them. I'm fortunate to be able to contribute both hands-on, and also behind the scenes administratively to keep our organization running smoothly. Well maintained hiking trails don't happen all by themselves!

Trail stewardship is about having fun, making friends and caring for the trails. I began trail work service about 30 years ago and have been hooked ever since! I fell in love with the Cold River Valley and made many friends with the people who live there. I enjoy teaching and sharing my experience with other trail stewards.
